| We care for miles of road, hundreds
of buildings and thousands of acres. Our customer is a
“city” of 25,000, working in the nation’s interest from
inside a National Wildlife Refuge. The facilities we manage
include everything from office space and computer centers
to lift bridges and the crawlerway that takes rockets
to the launch pads.
We provide electrical, air-conditioning and water utilities
to customers at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, and
our wastewater treatment plant processes 17 million
gallons per month. Quick response by our electrical
section minimizes customer down time. Our Metal Shops
produce unique hardware in support of space operations
while our Corrosion Control teams fight a constant battle
against salt and wind at the Cape.
The SGS Carpenter Crew saved the day by performing
emergency hurricane repairs during the 2004/2005 hurricane
season. Our spill team has the extensive training necessary
to deal with any situation.
Our equipment maintenance department supports crane
operations vital to space craft processing at the Spaceport
and the Generator Shop provides back-up power for mission
essential facilities during launch operations. SGS crews
support Navy operations in defense of our country and
provide maintenance to range instrument facilities.
We operate and maintain three lift bridges allowing
access to KSC and CCAFS.
Our Facility Support Services, Roads Maintenance, Grounds
Maintenance, Pest Control, Custodial, and Refuse teams
ensure services to make the Spaceport a great place
to launch spacecraft. |
